We are delighted to report that Cambridge City Under 16 Goalkeeper Gene Ghag has been asked to attend the Norwich City Academy, City Select programme for goalkeepers.
Gene, who has recently provided cover for Under 18 keeper Caleb Chandler while he is recovering from a broken finger, will attend the Norwich City Select programme that is designed to give local young footballers the chance to train weekly at the Canaries, Colney training ground, under the guidance of Academy coaches with the primary aim of these players breaking into the full Academy.
Cambridge City Head of Youth Neil Midgely said "We are delighted Gene has been given this opportunity to train with Norwich City. His game has really improved since training with the first team and Under 18s in the last couple of months and we wish him all the best"
Everyone at the club echoes Neils's sentiments and we all look forward to following this next step of Gene's goalkeeping journey.
