Opportunity wasted for City

City's good run of form came to a crashing halt at the weekend, losing 2-1 to fellow strugglers Rugby Town.

The Valley came into the game without a win in 6 games leaving them rooted to the bottom of the form table, however City conspired to spurn the opportunity to move themselves 9 points clear of the relegation zone with a lacklustre performance that was not in keeping with our recent form.

Rugby deservedly were ahead with 2 goals from Michael Taylor on 41 and 64 minutes, and with serious chances few an far between for City, it wasn't until the 89th minute that an excellent strike from Mikey Davies pulled one back for the Lilywhites.

A day to forget, and we move on to an away trip to Anstey Nomands on the 10th Frbruary.
