Lewis is a Lilywhite!

Exciting midfielder Lewis Hayes, 18, has made the switch to us from Chelmsford City.

Lewis confirms that one big factor in joining us was his existing relationship with our management team: “I came up through the Chelmsford academy and was there with Mickey and Rob. They were some of my best years of football, so I’m really glad to be linking back with them at Cambridge City. Since I’ve arrived at City, the welcome from the players and the coaching staff has been fantastic, and I can’t wait to start.”

Needless to say, Mickey is a big fan: “Lewis is a player I’ve worked with for a couple of years. He’s a young player with huge potential and at only 18 he has a real football brain with excellent technical attributes and we look forward to him developing here with us at Cambridge City.”
