At the beginning of the year, we started City Means Business Networking Events with leadership lessons from the Dugouts. These have generated thought provoking discussions with Mike Mair & Miranda Williams exploring the synergies between business and leadership around companies and football. Then yesterday with Katie Allen talking all about our frames of reference and how we can think differently about our conversations to be more confident - 'Me, Us, We model' & The Fear of putting your foot in it!
Each event is growing in energy and participation, providing a great opportunity for people to make new connections for their business and to participate in a learning experience. Also who wouldn't want to be outside, especially yesterday on Self Care Day!
We even had delicious treats from Herbies BAKESÂ yesterday, Thank you Darren Bucknall
We would like to thank Mike, Miranda & Katie for their workshops along with everyone that has attended so far.
Spread the word and why not join us on the 4th Wednesday of each month City Means Business Networking | CCFC (cambridgecityfc.com)
'A wide selection of businesses attend meaning you always meet someone new. There is a good balance between time to chat and the more structured talks or learning elements.
This months coaching was on what makes a good leader and what makes a good member of staff – very thought provoking stuff.Â
Â
And of course it is always great to get an update on the new Cambridge City FC stadium in Sawston – I cannot wait for it to be open so the events can be held on site.' Jane Frost, HotelRes
'Once again, a really positive and well thought out networking event. Challis Gardens is a simply stunning location, and the interactive leadership discussion hosted by Mike and Miranda was as thought provoking, informative and interactive as ever. A perfect way to meet new connections and catch up with existing ones.
Â
Thank you, Alice for organising and being involved in such a watertight event. Looking forward to the next one!' George Nolan, TR Global.Â
