“I’m excited to be part of something special!”

We’re delighted to welcome minority shareholder Bannack Wheeler to the Lilywhites family. Bannack comes to us from the United States with a background of winning in multiple professional/sports organisations. He did his due diligence with Cambridge City and felt that there was a perfect match with the trajectory the club is on and a clear vision of where he can help us to grow. He comes across the pond to give us at Cambridge City the opportunity to progress on an international scale without losing our close connection to our community.

Commenting on his involvement, Bannack said: "I went into this weekend with high expectations, but from the moment I walked through the doors, those expectations were exceeded. From the players and staff to the supporters and wider community, everyone made me feel incredibly welcomed and appreciated. Experiencing the club first-hand only reinforced my confidence in my decision to become part of this organisation and contribute to its future success. I have ambitious expectations for where this club can go, and I am excited to play a role in helping it reach its full potential. Above all, this club and its community deserve nothing less!"

Welcoming Bannack, Cambridge City CEO, Alice Dewey, commented: "We’ve been in conversation with Bannack for a while now, and we’re really pleased to have reached agreement to bring him on board not only as an investor but also as a friend of the club. As soon as he arrived on Saturday it felt as though he had been around for years, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him warmed to him immediately. We’re looking forward to having Bannack as part of our journey and can’t wait to watch the relationship develop and grow in the coming months."
