City Youngster joins Tractor Boys
Under 16 City Shot Stopper, Josh Smith has been a goalkeeper within the City youth set-up since the age of 12 and has been with us for just over 3 full seasons.
Josh was recently invited to trial with the Ipswich academy at the end of last season and was then also invited back to pre-season in July.
During this time he has had the chance to play against a number of Premier League academy teams and we are delighted to announce that he has now been offered a chance to join the full academy, as an U16 Goalkeeper.
We would like to wish Josh & his family all the very best with this amazing opportunity and we look forward to hearing how his journey continues over the next few years.

We are delighted to have been able to offer Joshua academy registration with us at Ipswich Town FC following a successful trial period. We would like to thank Cambridge City FC for the hard work and support put into Josh’s development
