Cambridge City manager Robbie Nightingale has today agreed terms to sign centre back Lewis Rolfe from Chesham United.

Lewis made 32 appearances in all competitions during the 2018/19 campaign for Chesham, and previous to playing for Chesham, he spent 5 years with Hitchin Town making over 250 appearances for the Canaries.

Nightingale said ďI am absolutely delighted to agree terms to sign Lewis for the new season. Itís a massive signing for Cambridge City as he will bring vital experience to the team and I am really looking forward to him being part of the group. I have wanted to sign Lewis for a while as I know what he is capable of, so I am naturally very pleased that he has agreed to be with us for the new season. He is a leader, has a wealth of experience playing in a division higher in the Southern Premier, and he will be a big presence for us in the teamĒ.

Rolfe becomes the first new addition to the squad and joins Jamie Head, Keano Robinson, Seb Simpson, Adam Watkins, Isaac Maynard, Nathan Olukanmi and Mikey Davis who were part of the 2018/19 squad in agreeing terms for the new campaign.
