City were left licking their wounds after a second successive defeat against a promotion chasing side. City looked devoid of ideas as Sports raced into a two goal lead with only 24 minutes on the clock. City simply could make no headway and when Sports notched their third shortly before the hour, the game looked done and dusted. However, substitutions breathed new life into the Lilywhites and Josh Oyinsan pulled one back then had a glorious one on one opportunity to put City right back in the game, unfortunately his attempted lob sailed over the bar and with it went any real hopes of an unlikely comeback...
