An own goal was all that divided the sides as City recorded a welcome win following two straight defeats. City were guilty of not taking their chances and only got an advantage in the 67th minute when Kempston were reduced to ten men. From the resulting free-kick, Adam Capel forced a defender to put through his own net. Kempston showed more verve with ten on the pitch and might have grabbed a leveler late on, but struck the foot of the post, much to the relief of the home support... Report
