EVO-STIK Southern Div. One Central: Welwyn Garden City 0 Cambridge City 1

A single Ryman Sharman strike was enough to earn City a second win on the bounce, but not for the first time this season, City ended the game with ten men, Josh Oyinsan lasting only 20 second half minutes before being given his marching orders after coming on as a substitute.

City were made to work hard for this victory. There were few chances in a keenly fought first period. The closest to a goal came when Sharman flashed a header narrowly wide with the keeper struggling to make his ground.

The home side came out firing on all cylinders after the break and pressed City hard, creating some reasonable chances. However they failed to take them and City almost made them pay when a shot from point blank range flashed over the home bar following a corner.

Eventually City did make an opportunity count when Sharman found the back of the net with eighteen minutes left to play.

All looked to be going to plan for the Lilywhites until Oyinsan received a second yellow for simulation in the 90th minute. Down to ten, City had endure 7 minutes of time added on, but survive it they did, recording not only a second win on the spin, but a second clean sheet which can only be a good thing.
