City suffered a frustrating afternoon as they exited this season's Emirates FA Cup by the odd goal in seven. Having lead twice in the tie, City will be kicking themselves for letting this one get away, ending the game with only ten men following the sending off of Jordan Gent. James Hall gave City the lead only for Brightlingsea to level just before the half hour. City regained the lead just after half time, but the vistors again levelled soon after, then took the lead themselves before popping in a penalty to lead by two, Gent seeing red in the aftermath of the decision. City battled back and Ryan Sharman converted a late penalty to set up a frantic finish, but City could make nothing of a couple of late half chances to complete an unlikely comeback... Report
