Cambridge City were comprehensively beaten 5-1 by Godmanchester in their latest pre-season outing last night.

A strong City side started but were rocked by 3 goals for the hosts before half time.

The second half saw more goals for Godmanchester. Things got worse for City when Ebby Nelson-Addy was shown the red card.

Jack Wilkinson got one back for the Lilywhites late on but it proved nothing more than a consolation.

The Lilywhites have now just one final warm-up game at St Ives Town on Saturday before they kick off their home campaign against Corby on 18 August.
