City win at Bury

Cambridge City recorded their first win of pre-season as they overcame the challenge of Bury Town with a 2-1 victory.

Ryan Sharman set City on their way when he converted a Nathan Olukanmi cross.

Olukanmi was then on the scoresheet himself as he latched onto a through ball and slotted home.

Bury got a goal late on through Kyran Clements but it proved nothing more than a consolation.

The downside for City was an injury to Adam Capel who left the field midway through the second half and is probably a doubt for the next friendly at Needham Market on Saturday.
