EVO-STIK South - East Division: Ashford Town (Mx) 1 Cambridge City 2

City made up for last week's disappointing result against Aylesbury by taking maximum points following a quickfire comeback in the second half.

Following a low-key first forty five minutes, the sides turned around at halftime all level at 0-0. That parity did not remain for long though as the home side forced a corner 15 minutes in. The resulting flag-kick was headed home by Ashley Fisher.

Stung into action, City hit back hard and Ashford had the their keeper, Tyler Tobin, to thank when he saved well moments later. City weren't to be denied though and soon after, Ross Paterson drove the ball home to level the scores.

Two minutes later, the comeback was complete. A neat ball over the Ashford back-line saw James Hall rushing clear, and he produced a neat finish to lob the outrushing Tobin.

Ashford never recovered from this double whammy and City were able to see out the remaining minutes with few alarms, claiming a very welcome three points.
