EVO-STIK South - East Division: Hayes & Yeading Utd 3 Cambridge City 1

Having had their long unbeaten spell ended last Saturday, City have now lost their last two. However, they made the best possible start when Ryan Sharman found the back after only two minutes, latching onto a Tom Knowles cross. Hayes responded well to the setback, getting control of the ball and gradually pushing City back. Their efforts were rewarded just after the half hour mark when Andrew Ofosu set up Scott Donnelly for a debut goal.

Three minutes into the second half and the turnaround was complete. Ofosu was fouled on the edge of the area and Toby Little stepped up to stroke the resulting free-kick into the back of the net. City produced some promising moments as they went in search of an equaliser and looked to have rescued a point late on when Jordan Gent forced the ball home, but it was ruled out for offside. To add insult to injury, Hayes then broke upfield and Donnelly netted his second of the night to secure the points for the home side.
