Cambridge City Football Club are pleased to confirm the appointment of Richard Nightingale as the new Director of Finance.

Richard is no stranger to the club as he is currently Treasurer for the boys youth committee.

He takes over from John Aves, and is looking forward to being part of the team behind the scenes. He said "I love football, and it's great being involved with Cambridge City. There are some fantastic people involved at the club and everyone can see that the fortunes of the first team are beginning to turn. With the move to a new stadium facility at Sawston hopefully on the horizon soon, a chance get more involved at City was too good an opportunity to turn down".

Outside of football, Richard works for a Cambridge based software company and leads the finance team as well being part of the main management structure. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants".

Outgoing finance director John Aves said "It has been an enjoyable experience for me in my short tenure as a director and I would like to put on record my thanks to everyone for allowing me to fulfil one on the remaining duties that I hadn't previously undertaken at the club".
