In a first half, where City had the majority of the play, the only score came in the 15th minute when Brandon McCarthy out on the right, crossed, for Harry Farrow to slot past the keeper.

Half time: City Development 1 Gamlingay Utd. 0

City kept the pressure on in the 2nd half and in the 63rd minute Brandon McCarthy committed the keeper before slipping the ball to Josh Lowe to put City two goals up.

The third goal came 12 minutes later when, after good work by Harry Farrow and James Brown on the right wing, James' cross found Josh Lowe, who chipped the keeper to score his 2nd and City's 3rd goal.

The young City side continued to play some good football at a high tempo but, a central defensive blunder in injury time, enabled Gamlingay to score a consolation goal.

An entertaining game with a comfortable win for the City side.

Final score: City Development 3 Gamlingay Utd 1
