We're up and running!

The 2017/18 season for Cambridge City Ladies & Girls FC officially got under way last Sunday when the Ladies travelled to Colchester for their first league match, following last season's promotion to the Premier Division of the Eastern Region Women's League.

Although this signalled the start of competitive action, the whole club (from under 9's right through to the Ladies) have been very busy during the summer months (and amazingly successful) at various tournaments, both locally and nationally. Well done to everyone!

Also, the club would like to offer a warm welcome to all new players who have joined the City footballing family this season. It's great to have you on board for which we are confident will be another fantastic season.

League matches for most of the girls teams commence on the 9th September.

City Ladies

Colchester Ladies 0 : 7 Cambridge City Ladies (ERW Premier League)

Cambridge City Ladies got off to a great start in their first game after promotion to the Eastern Region Premier League with an emphatic win away at Colchester. City hit seven without reply in a dominant display that will give them encouragement for the rest of the season. The Lilywhites raced in to a four nil lead before halftime with goals from Stacey Fullicks, Sarah Mosley and a brace from Bella Simmons. The City side included four players from last year’s under 16s making their senior debut which is a real positive for the club. They all performed very well. Further goals were scored in the second half with Simmons adding two more, along with a debut goal for 16 year old Megan Tonks.
