A superb second half hat-trick from Tom Knowles ensured Cambridge City recorded a 3-1 victory over St Ives.

After a goalless first half, Knowles took centre stage as he bagged all 3 goals inside 5 second half minutes.

Knowles who is on loan from Cambridge United was the star performer in a City side that will take great confidence from the victory over higher grade opposition.

City now move onto Norwich United in midweek for their final warm-up game before the big kick-off against Ashord Town next weekend.
