Cambridge City will travel to Norwich United for an additional pre-season friendly on 8 August.

The match will be a testimonial game for Steve Shipley who joined City in 2002 and was part of the academy and reserve team before being released by the Lilywhites in 2005. Shipley then moved to Norwich United where he has made over 500 appearances.

The match will be part of a pre-season schedule for Norwich that will also see them play the likes of Thetford, Felixstowe and Leiston as they make preparations for their Bostik League Division One North campaign.

City Vice-Chairman Terry Dunn said "We are delighted to be asked to be opponents for the testimonial match of Steve Shipley. Many of our supporters will remember him from his time at City and I know that many of them will be keen to make the trip to recognise his achievements for Norwich United".

The match kicks-off at Plantation Park at 7:45pm and will be the final pre-season fixture before the season starts on 12 August.
