This Saturday (4 September) is the very first non-league day.
The idea is the brainchild of James Doe, a lifelong fan of Harrow Borough and the aim is to promote semi-professional football courtesy of a break in Premiership and Championship programme due to the international break.
The focus will be on to attract fans to the grass roots who would normally watch a match in the top two tiers of the game.
Zamaretto League table toppers Cambridge City are supporting the campaign with their own special offer in an attempt to swell the gate for their home fixture with Stourbridge.
The club is offering FREE admission to anyone who has a valid 2010/11 season ticket for a Premiership or Championship club.
The club is appealing for its loyal fan base to play a part. Do you know someone who is a season ticket holder for a club in the top two tiers? If so, bring them down to Milton Road this weekend and introduce them to the City experience. With City top of the table and scoring 9 goals in 3 games this week whilst not conceding any, a cracking afternoon of entertainment is as good as guaranteed.
