Tiverton are the visitors to Milton Road tomorrow, and will be making the long trip from Devon looking for their first away win of the season.

In the first two weeks of the campaign, Tivvy have accumulated five points, with two draws and a victory, which was at home to Evesham on Tuesday night. Their only defeat was at the hands of Chippenham in the second match of the season when they suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat.

The visitors do have a new manager at the helm this season with Chris Vinnicombe taking over in May. The former Tiverton player was recruited from South Western league side Witheridge where he had guided them out of relegation trouble to a mid-table finish last season.

In terms of men to watch for the visitors then it might be worth keeping an eye out for assistant manager, Mark Saunders who is key to the Tiverton midfield and also centre forward Adam Mortimer who signed from Okehampton last October.

Last season, City had to come from behind to defeat the visitors at Milton Road. A John Frendo strike cancelling out a 5th minute effort from Alex Faux. The return at Ladysmead in March finished as a 0-0 stalemate.

As for City, they come into the game on the back of an excellent away victory at Hednesford Town on Tuesday night. Manager Gary Roberts still has an injury concern over James Krause, so Joey Abbs is scheduled to continue at left back in his absence.

Elsewhere, the squad will not feature John Sands. As reported yesterday, the centre forward has moved back to Mildenhall in his quest to get more regular first team football. Therefore, Craig Hammond who has scored four times already this season will continue his strike partnership with David Kolodynski who opened his City account at Hednesford in midweek.

Tomorrow is part one a bank holiday weekend football bonanza for City as they travel to Hemel Hempstead on Monday, who have started the season well after their poor finish towards the end of the last campaign. So it will be two tough games of the Lilywhites over the Bank Holiday period, and City know that they have their work cut out if they are to maintain the unbeaten start to the season.

Don’t forget that Andy Abbott will be live at Milton Road during Saturday Sport on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, so if you are not going you can keep up to date on 96FM, and you can also get involved after the game by texting your views or via the post match phone-in. Updates will also be on the messageboard throughout the afternoon.
