Great Shelford tomorrow

Cambridge City make the short trip to Great Shelford tomorrow for their second pre-season game.

The match will be slightly different with it possibly being split into 3 half hour slots and manager Gary Roberts will run his eye over his squad together with some trialists who featured in the 3-0 victory over Newmarket in midweek.

One player who will be missing is Neil Midgley. The City forward was injured in the first outing at Newmarket and has knee ligament damage, meaning he could potentially miss the league curtain raiser at Brackley on 14 August.

Great Shelford finished 4th in the Kershaw League last season, with the opponents next Saturday, Fulbourn Institute finishing as champions.

There will be no admission charge for the game tomorrow, but there will be a bucket collection with all money raised in favour of Great Shelford FC. The bar will also be open. Supporters should note that the match at Woollards Lane kicks-off at 2:00pm.
