Cambridge City begin their pre-season campaign tonight with a trip to future landlords, Newmarket Town.

It will be the second match for the Jockeys following their comprehensive 9-1 reverse against a full strength Ipswich Town side last Tuesday.

City boss Gary Roberts will take his squad plus a number of trialists for the match. This means City fans can get a first look at summer signings David Kolodynski and John Sands who have switched from Rugby and Mildenhall respectively.

Also likely to feature for City is Craig Hammond who is looking to impress Roberts with a view to joining the Lilywhites for the forthcoming campaign.

A mixed bag of trialists will also be on view, and are likely to include midfielder Declan Roberts as well as former Dagenham & Redbridge youngster Richard Ashie, who can play at centre half or right back, an area that Roberts is keen to strengthen following the recent departure of Lawrie Stewart.

Kick Off at Cricketfield Road is at 7:45pm.
