Cambridge City Girls U12 7 - Hormead Hares U12 0

Cambridge City were in fine form to hit seven without reply against Hormead. A determined City were soon on the front foot and wasted not time in getting their noses in front when Zoe Lander's powerful shot was only parried by the Hormead keeper but a quick reaction from Carla Penny saw her stab it home. This was repeated soon after when Zoe's shot was again kept out by the keeper but Carla was first to the rebound to bag her brace. Some fluent football by City saw Ellie Geoghan make it three when collecting Lucy Holder's cross from the left and then Bronte Rapley played in Zoe who fired in a low angled shot. City saved their best piece of passing and movement just before half-time when City's keeper Jade Drain played a short goal kick out to Zoe who found Lucy down the left and her pinpoint cross found Saskia Capetti who slotted home to make it five nil at the break.

Ellie was first on the score sheet after half time when smashing in a right foot shot on the angle for her double and Lucy made it a magnificent seven when making no mistake from close range. City had numerous chances to add to the score with some entertaining attacking football although the Hormead keeper was able to keep them at bay with a fine personal performance.
