City under 16 player TOM SAPSFORD has been asked to play in a trial match for Crystal Palace against QPR this Thursday evening.

The centre half was spotted last Sunday when he played for the under 16s in their victory against Woodbridge Town at Newmarket.

Manager Simon Youngs said "This is tremendous news for Tom and the club as a whole. Whatever happens it will be a great experience for him and we wish all the best. It says everything about what we are trying to achieve here."
