Under 17 Internationals coming to Milton Road

International football is heading to East Anglia this August with Peterborough United, Rushden & Diamaonds, Northampton Town all hosting England fixtures and Cambridge City hosting non-England fixtures.

Cambridge City will host Israel v Italy on August 27, kick-off 7pm and Israel v Portugal on August 31 kick-off 12 noon. The Portugal v Italy match will take place at Northampton.

These games are part of a four team friendly tournament which will also feature Italy, Portugal and Israel.

Rushden host England's opening game against Portugal on August 27 while Peterborough's London Road ground will see the Three Lions play Israel on August 29.

The tournament concludes at Northampton's Sixfields stadium against Italy on August 31.

City vice-Chairman Terry Dunn said:
"The club were honoured to be chosen to stage these two games, especially in our centenary year. The Football Association were impressed with our facililties which is a great tribute to the many fans who help run the club."

Admission to both games is free.
