Stephen Smith, who joined City on loan in the latter stages of the 2007-08 season, has signed terms with the club for next season.
The midfielder has made 19 appearances for the Lilywhites, including two as substitute. He joined Michael Gash, Josh Simpson and Ashley Fuller as confirmed names in the City squad.
