Arrangements are now being finalised for Cambridge City's centenary dinner to be held at the Royal Cambridge Hotel on 10th May 2008.The club has been able to trace dozens of ex players and by the 31st January deadline nearly 50 had accepted.

The oldest attendee will be 83-year-old Tony Gallego who played in goal for Cambridge Town at Swindon in the FA Cup 1st round in 1946. Legends from the 60's and 70's include Alan Banks, Albert Derrick, Reg Pearce, Eddie Bailham and Stan Marshall plus two former managers from period namely Frank Cruickshank and Tommy Bickerstaff. More recent fans’ favourites who will be attending include Peter Martin, Graham Daniels, Steve Gawthrop, Gary Grogan and Neil Harris, who is currently playing for championship side Millwall.

Supporters Trust chairman Andrew Dunn said:

"This is going to be a really special event. It's not just a dinner, but a celebration of everything to do with Cambridge City. So many of us have our own individual and special memories of supporting the club, many of those will involve players from yesteryear who will be present at the event. I am delighted with the response from former players and managers and can guarantee that it will be a fantastic evening and a magnificent way of celebrating our centenary".

Application forms for tickets, priced at £35 for Supporters Trust members and £50 for non-members are available from the club office 9am-4pm and on match days or it can be downloaded by clicking HERE.
