3G ALL WEATHER PITCH

The stadium will boast a full size 3G all weather floodlit pitch 100m (109yards) x 64m (70 yards). Included in the design is covered seating for about 100 spectators, six changing rooms, two officials changing rooms, an office and a large meeting room with a kitchenette.

The facility will be used for training and matches for all relocated CCFC teams, including men’s, women’s, boys and disabled. When not in use by CCFC, the 3G pitch will be available for use by local teams, schools etc, for training and playing competitive games.

Daytime use will also be available for any potential small sided leagues and also the Cambs Football Association for representative games, coaching sessions. There is also scope for the possibility of other sports using the facility. Sport England’s FACILITY PLANNING MODEL for SOUTH CAMBRIDGESHIRE has identified the need for a 3G pitch in or around Sawston.
