After a notable career in county league football as a leftwinger, during the summer of 2010 Joey felt the time was right to test himself at a higher level. In his first season at this level he proved himself very capable at rightback, leftback, centre midfield and on either flank. City’s young supporters group, The City Slickers, voted Joey their player of the year.
